If one lifts the syncro by the front, and clamp the wheels in doing so, your VC is toast!! I once lifted by the front but used the frame and left the wheels free to turn and I think it was OK for a short distance and slow speeds.

With more knowledge and experience, I would drop the driveshaft if I had to tow my syncro by lifting the front. Dropping the driveshaft does not take long to do.

I do believe there is a 3rd option, that is to keep all 4 wheells on the ground and tow it.

Many towing outfits have flat beds to use. Malcolm
