I think this is debatable. The Type IV aircooled engine is pretty darn reliable if not abused. It's quite a bit stronger in the bottom end than the Type II engines that you're probably familiar with in old buses, and has a superior cooling system design. The wasserboxer has significantly more horsepower, though.
