good to see that you made it over to the vanagon list :). another option besides the diesel bell housing is an adapter plate from kenndy engineering. their adapter plates are drilled to mount at 0 degrees, 15 degrees (like in golf, jetta, rabbit), and 51 degrees like the vanagon diesel. i don't think the mounting hardware will do you a whole lot of good since it won't bolt up to your frame but i guess it gives you a starting point. i would suggest that you go with a 15 degree mount. that is what i am using in my vanagon with a gas golf digifant engine. if you go with the diesel set up you start to lock yourself into using expensive/harder to find diesel parts. diesels were only available for a couple of years in vanagons.
