Very bad advice IMHO. VW WELDED STEEL PLATES under those steel cups for a reason. Remember the lawsuits from VW bug seats popping off the rail during collisions in the 70's? Those flimsy barss cups in the plywood floor will be as effective as holding your hand out to stop an on rushing locomotive.
