Subject: WBX Thermostat replacement
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1"

Well I am replacing the thermostat in my newly rebuilt 2.1 and decided to replace the 87 degree C. with an 80 degree C.

I put the new German thermostat 80 in a pot of water on the stove and it didn't budge until it got up to 190 degrees. it fully opened at 210 degrees.

80 degrees Cels. is about 176 degrees so I am determining that this new one is defective.

Does Stant make a thermostat that I can buy at a regular auto parts store?

I know somebody posted a message about checking these new thermostats because they also found a defective one.

Thanks,

Doug
