My reply: I replaced the guide ring you are referring to on my 1982 air cooled Westy. The good folks at Go Westy where able to find one for me. Unfortunately, they were not able to locate the boot for the guide pin. I ended up using a section of an old bicycle tire tube and some zip ties. Looks good so far. Shift on, Jake
