Has anyone tried adding sound-deadening over a nice thick layer of POR-15... then looked at it in about five years?

Just curious... I decided to go with a layer of POR-15 on the inside, and fiberglass to reinforce the rusted areas (fortunately not as bad as Chris describes... probably because I took his advice and ran a bead of silicone around my inlets about a year and a half ago).

I'm sticking with the stock insulation for now, it may be louder, but I think breathable stuff next to the metal will do less to promote rust than 'laminating' on a layer of rubber or asphalt.
