The tensioner that I use for my I4 timing belt tensioners is quite
inexpensive.  I use a piece of flat metal with two pop rivets, 'half popped'
so that the metal stem is still sticking out.  I think that costs a who 50
cents or something?

i need to buy some vw specialty tools specifically the timing belt
tensioner wrench for the golf engine in my vanagon.  i was wondering what
every ones favorite specialty tool place was?  i don't really like the
quality of the schley stuff i prefer hazet or some other good german
brand.
