I've been attempting to change the coolant in my '84 Westy today, and it doesn't seem that the system is full. I drained the whole system and syphoned out whatever was left in both reservoirs (because I was changing coolant types). Now the amount that I took out doesn't match the amount that I put back in. I followed the procedure in the Bentley manual and I can't figure out what I've done wrong. Does anyone have any ideas? So far I've put in about 12.3 litres and the manual says that the system will hold 17.5 litres. Is it possible to get all of the coolant out anyways? Or is there probably still some coolant left in there from before? I took the van for a drive and the temperature stayed around half. I'm going to try and bleed it again, but I'll wait and see if anyone has any different ideas. Thanks in advance, Ryan |
