Okay, maybe I'm alone, but neither sets of wheels looks good to me. I like the Carat2 South African and the Rhein South African wheels. The Thunder South African Wheels that Vanagain has are pretty decent too. Though I think I'd rather see those on a Red Carat, than on a beige Westy. There are two factors for wheels. Do you like them...and do they look good on the vehicle. Sometimes the latter is the more important. Many years ago I saw some really funky looking wheels. At first I thought, how hideous, how could anybody choose those? Then I saw them on a Corrado, and they were the perfect wheels for that car (and I still have them on my Corrado). When I first saw the Rhein alloy wheels, I didn't think I'd choose them. But once on a Syncro, they just look right. For a 2wd, I think the Carat (original alloys) or Carat2 (15" SA version, which is very similar to the old 14" Carats) look pretty decent. |
