If you have crank case pressure or overfill the oil pan it's likely that the plastic oil fill tube is leaking where it slips over the steel tube. You can remove the plastic extension tube, clean it thoroughly, clean the steel tube and seal the joint and make a few test runs at 70 mph after the sealer sets overnight. That should fix it or rule it out. You can also be leaking through both the front and rear seal and the oil is blown away before it reaches a measurable point.

Hi,

One question. There is a lot of oily crud next to the fan, where the oil-filler pipe goes through the rear warm-air plate - I have a theory that if I am leaking oil out of the oil-filler.pipe.junction, what happens is that it is sucked into the cooling air, and burned on the cylinders, as well as blown away as a fine mist - that could explain why I am loosing oil, (one liter / 350 km) without big clouds of blue smoke, as well as without a BIG poodle under the engine - that is VERY odd- it doesnt drip, it is oily underneat the engine - but is does not drip/poodle)

Any input?

Best regards

Jens Jakob
