I'm just repeating hearsay information here. It has been said that the EV 5 cylinder engines are Audi engines and the repairs and parts are enough to send the unit to the scrap yards. This information came to me last year when I inquired of the Eurovan list about buying a 92 EV with a burnt valve. The price was right at $1300.00 for a van with beautiful upholstery, mag wheels, good tires, factory CD with 5 disk changer, A/C, automatic etc. etc. Overall a beautiful van with all the ground effects and FuFu faring.
