Thanks Mark ... that's a big part of the answer I've been looking for. Still, looking for the bit about how I can get the panel to activate though. I realize, from the VW manual, that the water level section of the panel deactivates when the water level goes below specific amount and as I haven't tested and filled the water tank yet I don't expect it to be active but the battery level indicators should be working.

Anyone who votes for the B.C. Liberals in the upcoming Provincial election will, in my eyes, be displaying a severe character flaw ... those who are left to support Gordon Campbell's government are running purely on pride and ego ... this government has displayed so many flaws that it would be just too embarrassing at this point for their supporters to admit that they actually voted for these people.
