Hey all. Time to sell the '85 GL. It has 137,000 on what I believe is the original engine. It burns clean. This van has been maintained mechanically very well. I am only the second owner. Owner number one sold 'er at about 108,000 miles and certainly must have taken good care of that motor. I'm tellin' you y'all, she might drip a drop of oil every once in a great while but honestly, they are far and few between. I've done some things to it, like replacing the starter (original), the alternator (original), the fan switch, some relays. I've replaced the front shocks and the brakes are good. New front caliper and pads.....the rear drum pads have been done, and I noticed, at the time, that the pistons are leaking the slightlest bit of brake fluid...they could both be done in the future. The front heater blower needs replacing...it's blowing the fuse now after steadily going down hill, operationally, over the last several months of the winter.

This model has the big huge sunroof that is great. I replaced the seal up there too last summer with a nice new one from Rocky Mountain Motorworks. I've got all my receipts and good records. I've given this van alot of TLC. Took it out the other day for a final drive, and she just drove smooth as glass. Straight as an arrow down the road. She also has good rubber all the way around. Needs a spare. Oh yeah, and the horn isn't blowing....I think it has to do with the heater blower and fuse, but not sure. She' really not a rusty beast either, only having a few spots. The only spot that ever concerned me really was the rust that is creeping around the bottom of the windshield's seal. A little TLC on that windshield seat now would catch it before it got too bad.

Email me if you are interested. She is definitely a daily driver....she was for me for a few years....winter and summer. Heads have never shown me anything but no problems.

I'm throwing her out there for $1,000. I'm in the eastern Massachusetts area. Lemme know......I'll try to get a pic if you want.

Some one needs to love this van!!

Dustin '85 GL Sunroofy..
