Subject: Eurospec muffler parts?
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1; format=flowed

Well,

I got back from retrieving my son from college. The new BFG ATKOs acquitted themselves nicely. They were a little low in pressure as installed, but inflating them to 40 front, 45 rear with a full load seemed to do the trick. Fender clearance is a little close, but no contact was made.

However, I had my first "adventure" in a long time, paricularly since the I4 conversion. My right side muffler bracket broke, causing the muffler to drag. Some quick thinking, making use of the E, A, and D strings on my son's guitar (Thank you, Taylor guitar!!) got the muffler tied up until we could locate a hardware store and buy some large hose clamps to support it.

So, this is the moment I've been dreading: I need a replacement bracket for the muffler. Given Overland's history of fine customer service, I'm doubtful that they will be of any help. Is there an appropriate part out there, or am I going to have to start fabricating parts for this? Given that the bracket broke, I'm sure that other parts of the exhaust system will soon follow.

Any help, advice or suggestions would be appreciated.

TIA,

Paolo 89 Carat Eurospec'd
