power mirrors are heavier than manual ones..and the metal base is potmetal - every time you open and close the door it will stress the base of the mirror if you dont add the 3rd screw.. over time it may crack. i just drilled a hole and ran a stainless sheetmetal screw in the bottom hole. worked fine.
