Sounds like my setup. I have an '80 westy. There is no switch on the front of the panel with the LEDs, but there is an LED in the centre where other people have a tiny switch. I have two bundles of wires that snake through the cabinet under the sink. Each bundle has a male-female plug connector aprox. half way in the visible part. They look similar (but bigger) to the power plugs on the *inside* of a computer (ie from the power source to the HD). When storing the van for any time more than 2 weeks or so, I need to reach in and unplug the two sets of connectors. One set is literally behind the sink. I had a heck of time finding it the first time - I had a bundle of wires that ended in a plug, and I couldn't find the other matching plug for the longest time. If yours is like mine, look for under the sink.
