Good evening All. Happy Holiday and to ALL veterans, Thank you! Now to The point. What brand oil pressure gauge does the collective wisdom recommend? I have decide to go mechanical only out of the left side of the engine. I have an oil pressure warning light is driving me crazy. I am going to cut to the chase and go with a gauge and be done with it. I have the right oil, filter, proper sender in the proper position, cleaned and run new wire from the senders and have spent a weekend trying to track it down. Enough is enough I have 85lbs stone cold on start up and 30 lbs on operating temp (at idle) and at 2k it is 45lbs warm and it has been verified by 2 different gauge sets. This engine is a "donor" out of a 87gl that had front end damage but ran strong. I am using this till I rebuild my 2.1 . The sad thing is that this engine runs better, quiter ect than my original one. All pearls of wisdom are welcome. Jim Morgan 86 Gl 210,000.0 "bread box" Westlake,Ohio jm060356@aol.com |
