I have a certain 1984 Vanagon GL which can get to 4200 RPM on 4th gears in very quick time. By the end of s typical on-ramp, it'd be at about 80mph (90mph on flat). It's kind nice to see semi's trying to get around you at 70mph. Within a few seconds, they pull back behind you dumbfounded that a Vanagon can actually do 110mph (not top speed) w/o being dropped from a cliff. =) Turbo 2.2 BenT |
