Subject: 88 GL for sale in NJ
Content-type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii; format=flowed

All - for sale: 1988 Vanagon GL, metallic blue 123500 miles, located near Exit 8 NJ Turnpike - $2300 for all: Van, cabinets, spare parts

We bought it in Houston in 1998, previous owner had heads replaced because of water leaking problem. Some dents on side, little rust.

Runs well, original engine and transmission, had typical Vanagon symptoms over the years. I have 3rd seat row in brown, not gray. Currently 'custom' cabinets, sink, curtains and 2nd battery for lights and small water pump installed. Many custom harnesses for additional outlets etc. We did many camping trips in it, went on two trips to Maine and Vermont after last year's repairs. I am willing to remove all 'custom components' if not desired. We really liked this van, an era seems to end - we've owned (and repaired) Vanagons for the past 16 years.

Reason for selling: Well, you know - we bought a '99 Eurovan Camper to explore the West and now have 4 VWs in the driveway.... Please reply for more details of repairs and service.

Thanks, Wolfgang and Anna
