There is a picture at http://www.fastforward.ca/gallery of a Touareg in some sand at the 2003 Karenz Syncro Treffen. Some VW Wolfsburg employees brought on to go head to head with the Syncro - street tires included. The Syncros did out perform the Touareg, but 90% of the Syncros there arn't stock and the Touareg was. The Touareg did and completed every trial that the Syncros did. I'd love to see a Touareg with some All Terrain tires and a slight suspension lift go against a Syncro... I'd own one of I could afford the 60.000 Canadian to buy one - besides, you can't sleep in it very comfortably.
