Don, Although I do not do this for a living, I've worked on ,,,, well over a hundred different Vanagon, in the last 19 years. My self I have owned 6 Vanagons, 4 water cooled, 3 that I have done this trick on and none twice because of leaks. Don't waste your money or any more time on this seal or subject.
