Could be the same sort of critter I lit every winter morning at Ft. Greely, AK where I vacationed at US Taxpayer expense. The tank holds the kerosene or JP4. Take the deelybob outside and try crumpled paper in the burner chamber. First place one sheet of crumpled newspaper, Fairbanks News-Miner works best. Then turn on the drip system so that there is a little puddle of kero in around the paper, turn off the drip system, light the paper wait until the paper is almost out and then turn on the drip again. The heater to which I refer has a flue just like a fireplace it is NOT a catalytic will produce both CO and HC and CANNOT be used in a non ventilated area. A better idea is a catalytic LPG heater for temporary heat. Cheers, Pensioner ( who was NOT responsible for the ChemWarfare stuff at Ft. G) |
