Subject: [Fwd: Sender Connectors' Wires]
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii; format=flowed

ok, here is the question on the wires of the senders, ie.:

Temp Sender II (blue) - it has 2 pins and the connector has 3 wires (2 white wires #10 & #48, and 1 brown). The 2 white ones go to one of the terminals of the connector and the brown goes to the other terminal. The terminals are numbered 1 and 2 on the connector and (+) & (-) on the sender

Temp Sender to Gauge (black) - it also has 2 pins but the connector has 2 wires (1 yellow/red and 1 brown). The connector again numbers its terminals 1 & 2 and the sender (+) & (-).

The other connectors of the other senders/sensors are very similar. Actually, all connectors and senders have one thing is common, as expected: ~ connector terminal 1 plugs to sender's/switch's/sensor's positive (+) terminal/pin ~ connector terminal 2 plugs to sender's/switch's/sensor's negative (-) terminal/pin

Here is the question: does it make any difference where the brown is positioned inside the connectors? Does it make any difference if it is inside terminal 1 or 2 and vice versa with other wires plugging into pos or neg pin? I am asking because I am cleaning the connectors and terminals and have found out that the brown is inside terminal 1 for one connector and/or inside terminal 2 for other connectors, hence plugging either in pos or neg. Does that sound right, or should brown wire should definitely plug into negative or positive pin of sender? Am I too picky?
