I did the standard google search and got a bunch of places that carry metric pipe fittings. After calling and e-mailing a handfull of them it appears that metric fittings below 12mm are tough to come by. Our vans need 10mmx1.0 pitch. I also stopped by the hydraulic hose shop in town and got the same story. Right now the best bet seems to 42nd draft designs http://www.42draftdesigns.com/index.htm (Thanks John). They carry a bunch of cool adpaters for VDO temperature and oil pressure senders. They carry a manifold that taps into the hole for the stock oil pressure via a 12in hose. The manifold will accept the stock oil pressure sender unit, the VDO oil pressure sender unit, and the VDO oil temperature sender. Pretty nifty. I wonder how close oil temperatures measured at the end of a 12 inch hose will be to oil temperatures int he crankcase.

I would still like to cobble together some kind of adapter on my own and save some cash. I'll let you know if anything works out.

I did call mdmetric (somebody recommended them) and they do not carry 10mm pipe fittings.

This gauge is to be used on a temporary basis for trouble shooting (in other words it will not be connected to a gauge on my dash). I am also trying to rig up some sort of mounting kit for my VDO oil pressure sender. As many of you have discovered, the sender doesn't fit without modifying the cooling tin or using some sort of adapter kit. > >I am having a heck of a time finding the necessary pipe and pipe fittings to do the job. The threads in the crankcase are 10mm X 1.0 pitch, and not many folks make pipe fittings with metric threads.
