Subject: Awnings vs Tents

For the longest time I thought of getting an awning for my GL, for those ocassional campouts, or whatever, wut another soulution presented itself. I got into the world of doing fine craft shows aroun the region, and found a real need for a tent. I bought an EZ-Up tent at a Sams, and use that for the shows. Turns out it is really hand for camping. It truly is Easy Up. It is basically a collapsible frame with a waterproff nylon top on it. It comes with sidewalls that can be attached. This thing stands quite high - when erect the top is about 12 feet in the center. It has a 10 ft X 10 ft footprint. It turlly is a one man operation for setting up and taking down. Really nice for the lojnger stay if one wishes, or its easy to put up and take down for over nighters. I can put it up competely or take it down in ten minutes by myself. When collapsed and the frame is folded it stands about 48 inches tall. A carrying bag then just slips over it, and it can be picked up and slung into the back of the van. It's just a little bulk, but I store mine crossways across the rear deck by the hatch. Very convienent.

Just wondering what others use??
