Subject: Transaxle mount, possible source A1 chassis?
Content-Type: text/plain;charset=iso-8859-1

My front transaxle mount is shot again. This is a used one I picked up. The price of a new mount is about $125. It looks to me like the right side motor mount from an A1 chassis VW will fit; they both are 75mm in dia, not sure about width.

Has anyone tried this? I was actually planning on installing the VW Motorsport A1 mount with the firmer rubber, for the way I drive. :) This performance mount is only $24, but I would need to press the old mount out of the Vanagon bracket, and press the new one in.

Ryan
