Subject: Burning a lot of oil
Content-Type: text/plain; format=flowed

So I got my case sealed, and it looks like my engine has no oil leaks (at the moment.) But now its BURNING about a quart every 300 miles. Now from what I understand, oil doesnt leak past the valve stems, because they're horizontal. So the only thing it could be is the piston rings, right? Well I just put new rings in recently...

Someone told me that the gaps on the 2 outer rings are supposed to be 180 offset. Bentley shows them together, both facing up, then the middle compression ring gap facing down, and the top ring facing up. Could this make my motor burn that much oil? Or what else could it be?
