I am running H&R's in my 87 GL (non-camper). Dropped to about 3" from stock. It's about 2" lower than the later model Carats. Handles great with Boge shocks. Rough when used with KYB's. I have not tried with Bilsteins. I do experience some bottoming out when loaded with more than 4 passengers. But then it's got 15 X 8 alloys at ET23 with 225/60/15 tires. A narrower wheel and tire combo may alleviate this problem but have not had a chance to try.
