Hi all,

I'm looking for advice on whether I should do anything specific with my van if I have to leave her parked for eight weeks.

I've got a consulting assignment in Egypt for much of the summer, which is good, since my life as a gypsy won't be sustainable if I don't work from time to time. Unfortunately it's putting a horrid crimp in my travel plans, as I have to be in sweltering, smelly Cairo from mid-June through mid-August, instead of meandering across cool Canada, visiting The Corruptor in Montreal, going to Buses in the Corn, and doing all sorts of other lovely things. But I'm in no position to turn down work, that's what makes life as a gypsy possible!

Anyway, I'm leaving my van parked in a generous friend's backyard for the summer. Beyond starting it from time to time to make sure all is okay, should I do anything else (or ask my friend to do anything else) to make sure she's happy and doesn't suffer from her period of dormancy?

Does it matter whether I leave her with a full gas tank, empty, or in-between?

Anything else I should worry about?

Please advise!

Joy
