Volks,

I'm in the midst of a minor tear-down and can not easily test the injectors in the engine compartment. I have 8 injectors and will probably only use 4 so I'd like to bench test them if that is at all possible. I've got a spare Vanagon pump and a small (electronics size) 12v battery. I don't know the amperage off hand if that is important. Figured I'd use small wires anyway. Can I simply set up a rig to pump, let's say water, to an injector, apply current to the injector and have it spray continuously. Would just like to test for the spray patterns and any leaking but I'm not sure I understand how the injector works. Not sure if it will work with a continuous load applied to it or if it has to be some kind of pulsed signal. Thoughts?
