I am about to exchange transfer cases from one tranny to another. The tranny on one is shot but the bell housing on the other is cracked. What I would like to do is take the tranny from one and the bell housing from the other and put them together. I am wondering if it is just a matter of removing the four bolts that hold the transfer case to the tranny and rebolting or if there is a lot more to it. I will replace the studs, nuts and and gasket and o-ring. any other suggestions will be appreciated. Thanks in advance, Patrick 85 westy, Appin Ont.
