Derek, thanks for the information. There are two kits below. They look like they measure CO, but not hydrocarbons and NO. I'm in California. My big concern is passing SMOG. Can someone on the list comment on whether this would help me gain insight what the SMOG guys would find. Seems to me that it's not going to measure hydrocarbons or that new gas, not type of nitrous thing that they just started to measure in California. I don't have to take my van in for SMOG for 18 months, but I'm planning in advance. Also, might be fun to play around with an exhaust analyzer if I had one, but it's not that fun. The main reason to spend money is so that I don't get dumped into a gross polluter category or something. The last SMOG test was horrible as I ended up spending several hundred bucks on the "pick a suspect part and swap in a new part" game. Was kind of not-fun at the time.
