My right front turn signal bulb stopped working so I took it apart. The bulb holder was very rusty and there was substantial water inside of the lens. Obviously I will be replacing the bulb holder. I do not know, however, how the water entered the fixture. The rubber sheath covering the wire connectors and the bulb holder looks in good shape. Could it be the plastic lens assembly? The lens consists of 2 parts, the front orange transparent part and the rear solid black part. Do these come apart? I have not really tried to pull them apart yet. Is there a gasket between the orange and black parts, or is it one piece? I suppose the water could also enter through the 2 mounting screw holes. Any ideas?
