It's time to replace the original shocks on my 160K mi Multivan. I can't find much on the net about Alko's but Ron S.(Bus Depot) thinks they're good. In one post he said he hasn't tried them on his van. All I got from Google were 5th wheel and trailer references. Anyone got them on their van?
I got some Alkos from the Bus Depot a couple of months ago - initial reaction was good - I liked the ride in our 80 Westy but I have no idea how old/miles the old shocks had on them for comparison - probably been around the block more than a couple of times :). I'm talking mountain roads here - western Sierras - 2000' to 9000' elevation. Maybe for our roads I could handle a little stiffer shock - but planning for Baja washboards in the fall I think the Alkos might be a good overall altermative.
