Okay, Who can I blame the design of my 89 wolfy vent wing on, today?

I almost broke it off the door today after I opened it and begun to swing it all the way around like I always do on my 87 syncro and used to do for the last 8 years on my 85. Only to find out that it has a STOP that will not allow it to swing past 90 degrees to the door. What lawyers or sue happy plaintiffs can I blame for this !? Is it to protect me from my own judgement that I know enough to reel it in when driving through a swarm of locusts? or that I can no longer take the gamble between the rush of fresh cool air when its cranked all the way around to catch everything including the occasional yellow jacket who may get scooped and end up hitting me in the chest? only to sting the blazes out of me when it wakes up from the impact? I like the wind in my mug and the thrill of knowing I am living on the edge, what can I say!

What gives with that? I feel like a kid with mom and dad controlling my power window in the back seat or locking my door so I cant get out till they say I can.

Please, somebody rescue me from those who know better for me !!!!!!

Doug
