Subject: Anybody ever make a trailer out of a vanagon?
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1"

Well part of justifying parting out this ole vanagon is to try to make use of as many of the parts as I can. Thanks to all those who have been stopping by to pick away at this thing like a thanksgiving turkey carcass. Its slowly disappearing.

I was just wondering if anybody has ever used the vanagon to make a trailer?

I was considering since I will be cutting up the body that I could use the rear suspension and some of the super structure as a utility trailer.

There are often rear of pickup beds used for this purpose.

It looks like there may be potential once stripped and cut up to have something.

It would be really cool to have something like the rear bed of a crew cab or vw pickup with the side fold down gates and the under storage.

It might be too heavy for the vanagon but just curious what others think or have tried.

Any pics floating around out there from your monster garages?

Thanks.

Doug
