if indeed platinum plugs are especially good in oil burning engines, it is
in an indirect way, such as maintaining lower spark-over voltages due to
decreased electrode wear. using less expensive plugs and changing or
cleaning more often, and /or using plugs 1 or 2 heat ranges higher, are
the usual rememdies.
