Erin, when you say, " . Body has very little rust....", and then let us know that you're from Minneapolis, I think that may be where the problem is. The standard for "very little rust" in your neighborhood is, well, not any gaping holes over 2 feet across or so. At least this is my experience with having lived in the area in the past and visiting there often. Seriously, this is a subjective thing, and lots of people are just horrified with what we have to put up with here in the rust belt. Rust on our Vanagons is usually seam rust, not structural, but it still spoils the appearance and is hard to control. Our condolences. Chuck Hill |
