Just a little suggestion/comment here ....
I have the simplest model Vanagon with plywood floor, walls and ceiling and
for starters itīs PITA to get to the bolts from below,at least on my Vanagon
there is a big metal plate under there to protect the Eb - heater and the
nuts are on top of the heater :-P
Furthermore, the rails for the sliding seat is screwed ON TOP of the plywood
with just some large washers in between so there isnīt really any need to
cut up your wood ( and chip the metal ;) ) floor, just make some large round
holes where the nuts are and buy bolts thatīs a little bit taller !
You might have to screw the plywood out to measure where the holes should be
but then itīs a perfect time to put som rust-proofing down there too, there
is a tendency of water from passenger shoes to run down there !!
I took the plywood out myself just for rust proofing underneath and added a
thick layer of that thick bodyprotection that you normally use under the car
too, exellent noice reduction !
