Hmm, methinks your AC needs a tune up. The GoldBrick had R12 when I bought it. Cools down the interior in 5 minutes or less (from 134 degrees farenheit). I have since switched it over to HC12A (after the R134a conversion, so I'm legal). This cools it down even faster. By the time i get to the end of my street (1/2 mile) the air is comfortable in the GoldBrick. By the time I get to the highway (another mile or so), I can turn it down off of high speed and lower the thermostat setting. My Westy also uses HC12a. Due to the air distribution pattern, it doesn't cool down quite as fast, but it still handles that 3 H's of Washington DC summer weather, with out a problem (Hazy Hot and Humid, in case you were wondering what 3H's...)
