1987 Vanagon 2.1L Idles at around 1000 rpm when cold/cool/warm, but jumps to around 2000 rpm when it gets hot. What should I look at? I also noticed a short (maybe 10-12 inches) hose connected to the fuel injection has collapsed in on itself. I can't tell you the exact location right now because I am not near the van, but it sits in the clump of wires and hoses atop the engine and is made of some weird sort of foam feeling rubber. It's maybe the diameter of a quarter. I didn't see it listed in the Bus Depot catalog. Can I use any rubber hose as a replacement or is there a source for a replacement hose someone can direct me to. What are the ramifications of the restricted flow through this hose? Thank you. Jason |
