I have 2 Tracfones and bought a third tonight for my son. Bought the first several years ago. IMO they are great for short conversations "Pick up some milk", " Send the tow truck to.." but expensive for chatty conversations. On a yearly basis, costs about $8 per month -cheap security. You can get one on the website - tracfone.com - for $30 with 100 mins and good for 60 days. Throw it away after your trip if you wish...
