Brian, The best rear heater core info is at http://www.benplace.com/rear_heater.htm To disconnect the hoses, just have a couple of wine corks ready, unclamp the hoses, pull off and cork 'em. It helps if you have unbolted the heater first so you can tip it up. Keep a rag handy anyway cause you will lose a little fluid.
