The best thing I have found for keeping the temperature of the radiator at the proper level when not moving and it is hot in the high desert of California (Mojave Desert to be exact) was to install a manual switch to turn the fan relay on. Wires in pretty easy. I used it initially because the slow fan thermostat went out. Whenever I get stuck in traffic, I turn on the fan to keep the heat down. Heat destroys lots of things. I like to keep the temperature at normal operational levels. On the weird shifting problem that I had, it is apparently a combination of the two clutch cylinders. The master is only 6 months old. The slave was installed in 1997 and even now, shows no sign of leaks or not functioning. Interesting the way these leakers fail sometimes. William |
