Subject: 12V receptacle in drivers seat pedestal
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="us-ascii"; format=flowed

FYI cool westy mod of the week/day? ======================================

I did the mod where I added an extra 12V ouput to the drivers side pedestal. Radio Shack part number.. Catalog #: 270-1556 http://tinyurl.com/2sagf

In-Line fused, connected directly to the battery terminals.

There is a punchout (hole) already right there in the pedestal? I already have the extra battery under the drivers seat. Pull the carpet back a bit reveals a punchout (oval) already there, just aft of the seat belt receptacle.

Just drilled a small hole in the carpet, then took a util knife, cut the holea bit larger, then used a rubber mallet to tap in/seat the receptacle.

works perfectly.. and looks nice and clean.

Need to take a photo or two and post to the main group site.

cheers
