All; the recent thread pertaining to the removal of the input shaft got me wondering how to take apart the entire trans. I have a question about removing the rear part of the case to expose and remove the gear set. I gave away my Bentley book with the sale of my van therefore can' t look up the info myself.

So the question is; how does one remove the rear case and gear set? I have the differential and input shaft removed as well as the bell housing and forward case where the motor mount is secured. Can anyone shed some light on this?

TIA; john
