So far Bruce, you are in the minority regarding commentary. You apparently choose to read some sort of advocacy where none was intended. I don't advocate anyone doing anything, politically. I made only commentary regarding facts and crime rate statistics available publicly. You are of course entitled to have any and all opinions you might wish and to voice them on any venue you choose.

Many of the "younger players" seem blissfully unaware of the world around their vanagon in their travels.

What would you do in a situation where you were accosted in your vanagon? I would make a hasty exit elsewhere which is the only advice or avocacy in my text. You of course are free to do whatever you choose.

Fortune favors those who carry spare parts in their vanagon for those unseen situations when only a plastic coolant distribution block or a particular length alternator belt will do. For those who do not look ahead and prepare for the inevitable breakdown of our almost antique vanagons, the road is a little more uncertain.

Listerines, Please consider my previous comments withdrawn. Sorry to have offended those who felt offended.

Any discussion should be off-list.
