It may be worth correcting this to note that if they are clear or smoked they will in fact NOT be U.S. spec. In theory you couldn't pass state inspection with them, and technically could even be ticketed for using them. However, in practice enforcement of this ranges from inconsistent to nonexistent. Still, to play it safe, don't throw out your stock ones.
