The greatest value in a vanagon is to the one who owns it. From there it goes downhill. Except for creampuff Westy's and Syncros, the Vanagons have little real value these days. When they pass the 20-25 year mark and become collectors or antique items, then value may increase. But for now, If you like your van, like I like mine, fix it up, and drive it to dust, and hope you don't get into an accident. Drive very carefully.
